There are three main features in Theme Updater & Backups for theme updates, store backups, and outage alerts.
Check your current plan by visiting the Settings page in the Theme Updater & Backups.
Updater Starter offers basic update features, such as theme registration, new version notifications, and access to the latest version in its default state.
Updater Pro offers premium features for transferring your current content, customizations, and configurations to the latest theme version.
Updater Plus, only available for Out of the Sandbox and Pixel Union theme merchants, combines all the benefits of the Starter and Pro plans with a Priority Support subscription.
Vault backups includes automated data backups for your store with options to restore past versions instantly.
Uptime monitoring includes instant alerts for store, checkout, and app-based outages and downtime.
Compare updater plans
To migrate theme customizations, code edits, and everything else in your theme to the latest version, subscribe to the Pro plan.
Subscribe to the Starter plan for basic theme registration, access, and new version notifications.

Adjust subscription
Open Settings in Theme Updater & Backups.
Click Change plan.
Click Edit plan.
Click the checkbox beside Theme updates, Store backups, and/or Uptime monitoring to include the feature(s) in your subscription.
To cancel a subscription, deselect the checkbox.
Click Update plan to apply the changes.
