Vino: Cart types

Vino provides two cart type options, Drawer and Page. Each option affects how the cart functions and how customers experience the add-to-cart process.

  When a customer adds an item to their cart, a sliding drawer opens from the top right of the screen. If it’s closed, clicking the cart link in the header will reopen it.

  On mobile, the cart drawer expands to fill the entire screen when opened.

  Cart recommendations allow you to choose a collection in Theme Settings > Cart that will appear in the cart drawer, making it easy for customers to add additional items.

  Enable the Order notes setting in Theme Settings > Cart to display a text box where customers can leave special instructions with their order.

  Turn on the Enable terms and conditions checkbox in Theme Settings > Cart if you want customers to agree to your terms before checking out. You can also assign a page in the Terms and conditions page setting to link it within the terms text.

• Page

  When a customer adds an item to their cart, they are taken directly to the cart page. This is ideal if your cart page contains sections you want them to notice.

  Cart recommendations allow you to choose a collection in Theme Settings > Cart that will appear in the cart page, enabling customers to continue shopping without leaving the cart.

  Enable the Order notes setting in Theme Settings > Cart to display a text box where customers can leave special instructions with their order.

  Turn on the Enable terms and conditions checkbox in Theme Settings > Cart if you want customers to agree to your terms before checking out. You can also assign a page in the Terms and conditions page setting to link it within the terms text.

  The Recently viewed section is enabled by default on the cart page and displays products the customer has recently viewed. To disable it, open the cart page template in the theme editor and click the eye icon beside the section.

  

  The number of products shown in this section can be adjusted in Theme settings > Product tiles > Recently viewed. 

  You can also add various sections directly to the cart page template by clicking the (+) Add section in the sidebar.
