Launch is a premium Shopify theme available directly and exclusively from Out of the Sandbox. To preview the theme in your store, you need to use Theme Updater.
Please note that any customizations made in the theme trial are not retained after purchasing the Launch theme
This process is the same for Pacific, Flex, Turbo and Superstore.
Step 1: Install Theme Updater
Install Out of the Sandbox's Theme Updater in your shop.
This task does not require a paid subscription and can be completed with the app's Free plan
Step 2: Try additional themes
Open the app, then scroll down to the Additional themes from Out of the Sandbox section to locate Launch.
Click Try theme to add the trial theme to your store
Once the modal window opens, select Install trial and wait for the process to complete.
Step 3: Customize the theme
Click Customize to be taken directly to the Launch theme editor and start experimenting with the extensive options and features.
In Online Store > Themes, the Launch theme is listed as one of your installed, unpublished themes.
Theme styles
Launch includes a selection of theme styles, also known as style presets. These include Fresh, Cool, and Bold. When you preview or purchase a theme, you have access to all of its theme styles, and you can select the preset within the theme customizer once the theme is uploaded to your Shopify admin.
Workaround
If you're having trouble finding the "Additional themes from Out of the Sandbox" section in the Theme Updater App, there's an alternative way to preview the theme.
1. Open the Theme Updater app
2. You can access the Launch trial theme by appending /themes/preview/11 to your store's URLAfter pressing enter, you'll see an option to install the Launch trial theme on the next screen.
