• Fixed an issue where images would fail to appear when setting the `Section height` theme setting to `Original aspect ratio` in the Image with text overlay section.

• Fixed an issue where the JavaScript would throw an error if faceted filters were enabled on a collection page but the grid/list view toggle was disabled.

CHANGED

• Most templates have been updated to use a .json format instead of .liquid, as per Shopify's requirements
• Collection template views (24, 36, 48) have been removed in place of the products per page setting available on collection pages. Collection results will still load in using AJAX.

Online Store 2.0 versions

Superstore versions released after and including 4.0.0 are compatible with Online Store 2.0.

Vintage theme versions

Superstore theme versions released before 4.0.0 are 'vintage' themes. Vintage theme versions have limited compatibility with the latest Shopify features. Update to the latest version to make use of Online Store 2.0 features.

Superstore 3.2.6 - October 5th, 2021

• As of October 5, 2021, Superstore is purchased through the Out of the Sandbox website.
• No theme changes were made (no difference in product between 3.2.5 and 3.2.6).

• Collection images are always full width, as intended.

• We have removed the default social media sharing image setting and we now defer to the setting in the Shopify admin.

ADDED

• Currency selector setting info to tell merchants to visit payment settings, not currency settings.

• Stylesheet no longer uses SCSS, so settings update much faster in the theme editor.

FIXED

• Opening up the mega navigation no longer creates a horizontal scroll when viewed on desktop.
• There is no longer a small horizontal scroll-bar when viewing the theme on a Windows computer.

Superstore 3.0.0 - April 2nd, 2020

FIXED

• Issue where merchants were sometimes experiencing an error in the theme editor indicating that the scss compilation timed out.

REMOVED

• Instagram section has been removed. The Instagram API used to display these photos has been deprecated with no suitable replacement so from now on you'll need to switch to using an app.

• Font size now adjusts correctly at breakpoint in the homepage grid section
• Search bar now remains open when clicked on Android devices.
• Burger menu button now works correctly on empty collection pages.
• Mobile view now renders correctly on iOS devices when using the traditional header layout.
• Checkout button now works consistently on Cart page when apps are installed.

Superstore 2.3.0 - January 31st, 2020

ADDED

• Support for new product media component.

In order to prepare for Shopify's Product Media update, using the ALT text and video URL approach for displaying videos in the product gallery will be deactivated for versions 2.3.0 and above. The Product Media update will include platform enhancements for adding video and 3D models.

• We have updated the related products section to now show recommended products instead.
• Updated the look and feel of tabs which can be added to product descriptions, blog posts, and pages.
• Adjusted styling for dynamic checkout buttons on the cart page.
• Selected swatches now have a thinner border, and larger swatches will have more rounding on their corners based on the form's setting.

FIXED

• Fixed contact form width to match page width.
• We fixed a few keyboard navigation and accessibility problems with regards to swatches.
• Swatches with longer tooltips will no longer float off-screen.

• The shipping calculator will now show results in the appropriate currency when the currency converter is disabled.
