I am looking into switching our email server to Klaviyo. We have the turbo theme and since the form action URL isn't affected yet I wanted to find out what the easiest way to do that is. Hoping that we can still use the form action without MailChimp being the server.

Thanks for all the updates and help.

    Hi yall!

So it is basically it's what we did with MailChimp. You take the subscribe page's URL of the list you want and paste it into the turbo's newsletter form action.

Here is a handy article to get turbo to point to klaviyo.

We had already done this, not realizing it was to bypass the app, back in 2018.  I'm hesitant to delete the app...

Also, a question about the look of a popup in Turbo on the mobile version.  Is there a way to create the popup in a way that doesn't fill the page and require scrolling?

Thanks for a great blog post!!

Is there any update on this? I'm in the process of moving to Turbo and need to link the sign up to Klayvio.

Hi Matt, did you find a solution for the popup in mobile version? I want it smaller as well.

    Trisha,

Smartrmail went into the code for the theme and directed the Turbo popup to fill their mailing system like Mailchimp would have.  I am Mailchimp free now, and it seems to be working well...

    Torri, great idea!

The approach I just set up is to create two separate Klaviyo Embedded Signup forms, one excluding EU locations, the other including only EU locations. Then, using the Custom HTML section in Turbo, add the HMTL embed code from the Klaviyo form Behaviors tab. I placed the sections one after the other in Turbo theme settings and only the Non-EU form shows. All I need now is someone in the EU to signup to test that leg.

And having the option to not display the signup to existing Klaviyo subscribers cleans up the page. Just started using Klaviyo and like it a lot so far.

When signing up for Klaviyo, are your physical location and zip code worldpostalcode.com/united-states/massachusetts/bostonimportant? Can someone tell me where I can find a step-by-step guide on how to do it correctly? It would be good if you have some experience of using it. I think there are many minor details that are important to know for a new user. And I will be very thankful if someone can lead me through this process.
