In order to use the 'page.gallery' template, the theme will need to be published! The templates from which you can select are limited to the templates available in your currently published theme.
If you are unable to currently publish your theme and would still like to set up the ‘page.gallery’ template, we have instructions on how to access unpublished templates here.

Using the Filterable Gallery
The Gallery page on the Artisan theme includes the ability to enable filters. This is a great way to showcase a portfolio of work, that may benefit from being viewed in separate categories!
For example, a photographer might have: Weddings, Portraits, Landscapes, Kids etc.
Configuring Gallery Filters
Step 1: To create a Gallery page, you'll need to choose the 'page.gallery' template in your Page Admin under 'Template Suffix.'
Step 2: Once you have created your Gallery page. Head into the Theme Editor (Customize) and navigate to your page!
Step 3: The Gallery page in Artisan is configured by adding Image blocks in the theme editor:
Step 4: With each image, you have the option to add a Filter! These filters get added as tabs at the top of the Gallery:
Note: You can add in more than 1 filter for an image by adding a space between your filters

Once you've added all of your Filters, you can click on the filter tabs at the top to view the separate categories:
