Using the 'product.full-width-images' template
The Turbo theme includes a product template called 'product.full-width-images' which allows you to add banner images with text below the main product image and product form.
The 'product.full-width-images' template is a great alternative to using the 'product.details' template if you're just looking to add a few banner images to your page! It's also a perfect way to show off any lifestyle shots or additional product images that you want to stand out.
You can view this product template live in our Portland demo shop here.
Setting up the product template
You'll first need to assign the template to your product! From your Shopify admin, head to your Products section and select an existing product or upload a new one. Select the 'product.full-width-images' in the Template drop-down menu:
In the Product's 'description' area, click the 'insert image' button to add your image:
In the 'image alt text' field, enter any text that you wish to display over the image, followed by the alignment. You can choose from left, center, or right and add the alignment square brackets.
Even if you don't want any text on your image, you must still include an alignment tag in square brackets in the 'image alt text' field input area, in order for this full-width image feature to work!
The image you insert will then display full width below the main product image gallery, product form, and product description.
Is it possible to add multiple full-width banner images? Absolutely. These images can all have different text alignment as well if you'd like! Just repeat the steps above.
