In some cases, after updating your theme, you may get an error that looks something like this:
Invalid CSS after "...kground-color: ": expected expression (e.g. 1px, bold), was ";" at 320
...which typically causes your site to stop working.
The solution to this is to head into your Theme Editor (Online Store > Themes > Customize) select Theme Settings > Colors and verify that every color option listed there is set to a color.
Be sure to pay close attention to any of the boxes that are white — you will need to make sure that the color white is selected rather than having that setting be empty. In some cases, an empty color setting field may appear to be white but actually be empty.
Once you've double checked all of these settings, save your work and try again.
