Alternative templates allow merchants to expand their customizations and offer unique layouts, features, and more.
Recent platform improvements for Onljne Store 2.0 now allow for results formerly limited to theme-based templates, so some templates described below may be absent from the current catalog of Shopify themes.
Using Page Templates
In order to use the templates, the theme will need to be published. The templates from which you can select are limited to the templates available in your currently published theme.
If you are unable to currently publish your theme and would still like to set up a theme-specific template, we have instructions on how to access unpublished templates here.
The templates available to you will depend on what theme and theme version you are using.
To see which templates are available in your theme, from your Shopify Admin, go into the Page, Product, or Collection admin pages. Use the Theme template dropdown to select another template.
