By default, the Newsletter form located in the Footer will be displayed.
To customize this newsletter sign-up form follow these instructions:
Mobilia 5.0+ or Responsive 6.0+
Online Store > Themes > Customize > Theme Settings > Newsletter.
Here you will see settings to enable or remove the First Name and/or Last Name fields from the Newsletter form.
To remove the Newsletter form from your Footer, go to Customize > Sections > Footer.
Among the customizable Footer options you will see a checkbox to 'Show footer newsletter form'
Retina 4.0+ or Parallax 3.0+
Online Store > Themes > Customize > Footer > Newsletter:
Here you will see the option to 'Show social media footer icons'.
You can also delete the newsletter form if you do not want it displayed in your footer.
In the Popup section (Online Store > Themes > Customize > Theme Settings > Popup) you can set the Newsletter to display First and Last name fields.
The Newsletter signup is a Section and can be added by going Online Store > Add section > Newsletter. You can then drag and drop the Newsletter Section to order it on your homepage as you would with other Sections.
**NOTE: in recent versions of our themes (Responsive 6.0+, Mobilia 5.0+, Retina 4.0+, Parallax 3.0+), it is not required that you supply the MailChimp Form Action URL in the Customize theme tab.
To enable your themes Newsletter form please head into Online Store > Themes > Customize here you will be presented with your theme options, from this panel you can head into the Newsletter tab.
By default, your Newsletter section will be active as shown in our theme demos, if you would like to de-activate your Newsletter you can simply uncheck the "Show footer newsletter form" option. Depending on which mailing system you have setup either MailChimp or Shopify, your customers will be sorted accordingly.
When Using MailChimp:
If you have activated your MailChimp newsletter based on this article, when customers enter their email addresses, they will be sent to MailChimps two-step verification page, this page is required by MailChimp. Once your users have followed the instructions on your verification page they will be entered as a customer for the list you have provided in your Form Action URL.
When Using Shopify (Default Integration):
If you have not entered your MailChimp settings for your Form Action URL, by default, your customers who enter their email addresses will be sent to your customers tab in Shopify.
