What is a “theme style”?
Also known as a preset, all of our themes come with various different looks or theme styles that have different groups of fonts, colors and layouts. For instance, Parallax has 4 different looks called Aspen, Madrid, Vienna and Los Angeles:
These different looks are called theme styles. These different preset theme styles show the range of the theme and allow you to find the best look for your site. If you like a feature in one theme style but the look of another, don’t worry! All presets have access to the same features, you may just need to select them under your theme settings.
Are multiple theme styles included in the theme?
Yes! The purchase of a theme includes all its additional styles. You can change theme styles by following the instructions below.
Theme "styles" or "presets" are considered to be part of a theme. Using one theme style or preset on one store and another style or preset on another store without paying a separate licensing fee is a violation of the licensing terms and conditions.
How do I change the theme style?

Adding new theme styles
From time to time, Out of the Sandbox adds new theme styles to its themes. If you would like to use one of the new theme styles when it is released, you will need to download a fresh theme file.
Updating your theme via the Theme Updater App will not add the new theme style to the list. The app is not able to add the additional preset to the settings_data.json
file.
If, however, you do not need the new theme style but just want to take advantage of other new features and code updates, you can use the Theme Updater App to update your theme.
Downloading a fresh theme file
If you purchased your theme directly from the Out of the Sandbox website:
Our Theme Updater App now includes the ability to install a fresh download of the most recent version of your registered theme. This feature is available for all plans (Basic, Pro, Expired/No plan). You do not need to be on a subscription plan in order to obtain a fresh download of your theme, just follow these steps:
Step 1: Install the Theme Updater App
Step 2: Register your theme
Step 3: Within the Theme Updater App, click the 'Actions' button for your theme and select the 'Install Default Theme' option from the drop-down menu:
Step 4: You can type in a new theme name and click the 'Install' button.
This version will contain only the default configuration with no customizations. It will be installed as a new, unpublished theme in your shop.
Note: If you happen to still have your original order confirmation email containing the download link, you can also use that to download a default theme file.
If you purchased your theme from the Shopify Theme Store:
If you bought the theme through the Shopify, then you can also visit the Themes Store while logged into your Shopify account (must be logged into the same shop that you originally purchased the theme), locate your theme, and click on Add latest version.
