May 4, 2018: Some users utilizing Google Fonts may be experiencing issues due to an issue with Google's servers. A quick fix appears to be to change all options under Sales Channels > Online Store > Themes > Customize > Theme settings > Typography to use a Google Font.
If you are looking to use a different Google Font than what we have listed, you’ll need to go to your settings_schema.json, found under the Config folder. You can access this by going to Sales Channels > Online Store > Theme > Actions > “Edit Code”.
Depending on where you want to use the font, there are a few places you may want to make the change:
For the logo, scroll down to options line in the settings_schema, around line 467 in Retina (around 411 in Mobilia, around line 403 in Responsive, around line 496 in Parallax or around line 507 in Turbo), the options will appear like so:
Next, replace one of the fonts that you do not want with the one you want.
For example, if you want to use Pacifico, find one of the fonts you don’t want to use, then replace the value and label with “Pacifico”.
For the Turbo theme, note the slight difference in syntax (including 'Google_' in the "value"):
Click on Save, and now go to your theme settings by clicking on Customize theme in the top right.
Under the Typography tab, beneath the Logo Typeface header, you’ll now find Pacifico listed under Google Web Font.
To change the Header web font, you’ll make the same changes as above, only the options start around line 692 in Retina (around line 867 in Mobilia, around line 681 in Responsive, around line 736 in Parallax or around line 1312 in Turbo).
To change the Regular font used your content text, you’ll change the options around line 1327 in Retina (around line 1508 in Mobilia, around 1550 in Responsive, around line 1422 in Parallax or around line 1677 in Turbo).
If the Google Web Font has a space in it's name. like "Shadows into Light", in the value field, replace the spaces with plus signs, like "Shadows+into+Light". You can leave the spaces in the label field.
